Kate Maher

"Each case is a different person and the challenge for me is not just to get the best result in Court, but the best result for that person's life. In a lot of criminal law cases I can make a real difference for my clients and the Newcastle community. In cases where it's one person's word against another, I can offer the opportunity to defend my client's reputation.

I make regular appearances in court so I'm fortunate to have staff who are up to speed with everything and can respond to questions when I'm not available. That matters when you need a lawyer. You need immediate advice - because legal problems don't wait.

I am also the first female Partner in Braye Cragg's long history. It's an achievement for which I'm proud.

I am honoured to be recognised in 2019 and 2020 as a Leading Regional New South Wales Criminal Lawyer and a Recommended New South Wales Traffic & DUI Lawyer in the Doyles Guide Rankings ."
